Welcome To 2024

01/01/2024

Dear Beloved,

As we stand on the threshold of a new year, let us begin with a verse from the Holy Bible, Matthew 24:42 (KJV): "Watch therefore: for ye know not what hour your Lord doth come."1 This verse reminds us of the importance of being watchful and vigilant in our faith.

The world is changing rapidly, and these changes often bring challenges. But they also bring opportunities for us to grow in our faith and become more Christ-centered. As believers, we are called to be the light of the world, reflecting Christ's love and truth in our daily lives.

As we step into 2024, let's strive to deepen our relationship with Christ, anchoring ourselves in His teachings, and spreading His love to those around us. Let's be watchful, not just for the return of our Lord, but also for the opportunities to serve Him in our daily lives.

May the coming year bring you closer to Christ and His teachings. And as we navigate the inevitable challenges that lie ahead, let's remember these seven Bible verses that promise peace in times of crisis:

  1. Deuteronomy 31:6 - "Be strong and courageous. Do not fear or be in dread of them, for it is the Lord your God who goes with you; he will not leave you or forsake you."2
  2. Psalm 23:4 - "Even though I walk through the darkest valley, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me."2
  3. Isaiah 41:10 - "So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand."2
  4. Romans 8:28 - "And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose."2
  5. John 14:27 - "Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid."2
  6. 1 Peter 5:10 - "And the God of all grace, who called you to his eternal glory in Christ, after you have suffered a little while, will himself restore you and make you strong, firm and steadfast."2
  7. Isaiah 40:31 - "But those who hope in the LORD will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint."2

May these verses bring you comfort and peace in the coming year. Here's wishing you a blessed and Christ-centered 2024!

Gathering Storm Clouds: Preparing For The Coming Crisis

As the opposition rises to a fiercer height, the servants of God are again perplexed; for it seems to them that they have brought the crisis. But conscience and the word of God assure them that their course is right; and although the trials continue, they are strengthened to bear them. The contest grows closer and sharper, but their faith and courage rise with the emergency. Their testimony is: "We dare not tamper with God's word, dividing His holy law; calling one portion essential and another nonessential, to gain the favor of the world. The Lord whom we serve is able to deliver us. Christ has conquered the powers of earth; and shall we be afraid of a world already conquered?"
