The Law Of Redemption: Next Of Kin
The Kinsman Redeemer

Question: Boaz was Naomie's Kinsman redeemer how does history represent the story of Jesus's action towards men?
As stated in the Law Of Redemption (Lev.25:47-49), ONLY one who is an immediate relative could redeem a person who has been sold. Historically Adam like the man in in Ruth 3:12; 4:1-8 is the nearest of kin, but he was sold out, so we needed a next of kin who was not sold out to sin (Hebrews 7:26; 4:15). In becoming us, he was able to redeem (buy ys back), because even though He was not the NEAREST of kin, like Boaz, he was the Next, who fit the qualifications in Leviticus 25:49. Notice: the nearest of kin was rich and had wealth and a generation he wanted to pass down that wealth to, if he became the redeemer, his line would not be his on but that of Elimelech. Jesus, we are told became poor for our sakes (2Corinthians 8:9), and He will forever be identified with us (Hebrews 2:16).
In conclusion: Like Boaz, Jesus wasn't the nearest of kin, but like Ruth He loved us, and paid the redemption price by laying down His human life for us and giving His divine life to us (Ephesians 5: 25; 2Corinthians 5: 14; 2Peter 1:4). Thus He became our next of kin and our kinsman redeemer.
The Law Of Redemption
And if a sojourner or stranger wax rich by thee, and thy brother that dwelleth by him wax poor, and sell himself unto the stranger or sojourner by thee, or to the stock of the stranger's family: After that he is sold he may be redeemed again; one of his brethren may redeem him: Either his uncle, or his uncle's son, may redeem him, or any that is nigh of kin unto him of his family may redeem him; or if he be able, he may redeem himself.

Forasmuch then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, he also himself likewise took part of the same; that through death he might destroy him that had the power of death, that is, the devil; And deliver them who through fear of death were all their lifetime subject to bondage. For verily he took not on him the nature of angels; but he took on him the seed of Abraham. Wherefore in all things it behoved him to be made like unto his brethren, that he might be a merciful and faithful high priest in things pertaining to God, to make reconciliation for the sins of the people.
